The Ben Burr trail is a trail that is a mile long. It runs from Liberty Park to Under hill Park. It was originally a rail road line. The trail was named after Ben Burr who worked for the great northern railway for forty-eight years. This is a great place to walk your dog, run or bike. When you are on the trail it feels like you are out in the forest, although you are a couple minutes from downtown Spokane. Our dog loves to go and run on the trail. There are plans of paving the trail. I think that this is going to ruin the enjoyment of the environment. They will remove several trees to make the trail wider and then put up a railing. I think this is all ridiculous. There is no need to put up a railing because no one has ever been hurt on the trail from not having a railing. I think that the should preserve the natural environment of the trail. I hope that they end up leaving it the way it is.
